Community guidelines
One ground rule: come open and be honest.
Share your struggles. If you think you can help someone, share what you know. Everything below follows from that.
On the call
- Be real. Talk about what you're actually working on and where you're actually stuck. Nobody needs a polished pitch.
- Listen as much as you talk. Thirty minutes goes fast. Make sure both of you get time.
- Be kind with feedback. Honest, specific and generous. Assume the other person is doing their best.
- No selling, recruiting or pitching unless the other person asks for it. This is not a lead-generation channel.
- No recording without the other person's clear consent.
- Keep it confidential. What someone shares about their work or life stays between you.
Before and after
- Only pick times you can make. Someone is setting time aside for you.
- Can't make it? Cancel as early as possible and write a short note to your match.
- Show up on time, camera on if you can.
- Stay in touch if you both want to. After the call we ask you both; if you both say yes, you'll each get the other's contact details. Keep talking, work together, meet up. Just respect it if the other person would rather leave it at the call, and don't add them to mailing lists.
- Contact details come after the call. Please don't ask for them or arrange to meet elsewhere before your chat.
Your profile
- Use your real first name and describe what you're really building.
- No phone numbers, e-mail addresses or social handles in your answers. Your link stays private until you both choose to stay in touch.
- One person, one account.
- You must be 18 or older.
Not welcome
- Harassment, discrimination, hateful or sexual content.
- Scams, fake profiles, asking for money or personal data.
- Multi-level marketing, investment or crypto pitches.
If something goes wrong
After every call you can rate it and report a problem. We read every report. We may reject profiles and remove people who break these guidelines, without a refund for the chat in which it happened. Something urgent? Reply to any of our e-mails.
